Curriculum: What you will Learn

From exercise to injury recovery, kinesiology is the study of human movement. Students will focus on physical activity and how the human body's movement impacts health, well-being and quality of life.

We nurture and support the development of each student’s academic and emotional needs. We collaborate to create challenging, cohesive, thought  provoking, theme integrated lessons  that will prepare our students for high school and beyond. 

Students will learn in non conventional settings, have hands on learning experiences  across the curriculum.Students are enrolled in our Kinesiology P.E. class in which they actively participate in learning about the human body. By the end of this course students will be able to: 

  •  Define Kinesiology and explain the importance of human         motion related to sport and health
  • Analyze the mechanics of human movement and muscle function
  • State the mechanical purpose of a variety of movement skills
  • Locate muscles and bones
  • Discuss & identify diseases that accompany sedentary living and poor diet
